We currently have an opening for a Development Coordinator. The Development Coordinator is responsible for conducting a broad range of development activities that support fundraising goals, including gift entry and acknowledgements, project management, research on donors and prospects and event planning. The Coordinator provides administrative support to members of the team. The incumbent also executes a variety of cultivation and stewardship tasks to engage and strengthen relationships with donors.
WHAT’S ATTRACTIVE TO THE RIGHT CANDIDATE
NAMI is seeking a customer-service oriented, relationship-minded individual who has experience with data entry, project management and enjoys a fast paced, supportive work environment. This position will fill a valuable role in supporting the overall development function at NAMI by connecting donors to our mission.
This position is expected to:
Assist NAMI donors by providing timely and accurate support and response to questions.
Ensure the entry of gift and donor information into a database and generate acknowledgement letters.
Provide project and administrative support to the NAMI Development Team and help meet revenue goals.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Performs timely and accurate entry and updates of constituent and gift data in the database
Manages the production of acknowledgement letters independently and with a third party mailhouse
Responds quickly to donor inquiries with professionalism
Guides donors over the phone and via email toward giving opportunities
Provides detailed calendar and project management by tracking, communicating and meeting deadlines and milestones
Conducts donor research and briefings to facilitate donor engagement and cultivation efforts
Assists with scheduling, travel arrangements and donor follow up
Provides project support with meeting preparation, stewardship initiatives and mailings
Assists with event planning and logistics
Passion for and interest in NAMI’s mission
Highly skilled with providing excellent customer service
Experience and accuracy with database skills using a fundraising CRM
Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively
Must be detail oriented, have strong inter-personal skills, able to handle multiple tasks, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Strong skills with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PPT)
