The Hub will be a world-class digital and social media firm and client-partner network that will package and disseminate important ideas and content to target audiences, with tailored messaging that speaks to each group. It will bind an array of pro-Israel organizations into a true community—a network that will function cooperatively to achieve common goals: changing attitudes of target audiences, and influencing policy, outcomes, and behaviors.
The Hub seeks a dynamic Executive Director to lead the creation and implementation of this bold vision.
The leadership of The Hub views the appointment of its inaugural Executive Director as an opportunity for a visionary executive and seasoned revenue-generator; one who will ensure the success of the project by:
Leading content development and implementation of the vision;
Inspiring dynamic fundraising strategies;
Connecting with partners who can leverage The Hub’s capacity to lead.
Collaborating with, and reporting to, The Hub’s Board of Directors on all matters, the Executive Director will provide vision and set priorities for operations of this new groundbreaking digital media service staff and client/partner network. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Vision, Leadership and Strategy:
Lead ground-floor effort to build a new social media PR firm for the pro-Israel community.
Oversee the vision and substance of The Hub; providing overall creative and strategic direction.
Shape and implement overall revenue and brand-building strategy.
Craft and implement a sophisticated multi-year fundraising strategy; one that will generate short-term results as well as deepen and diversify the funding base while carefully monitoring costs associated with fundraising.
Achieve and exceed current annual goals; build a program that ensures long-term, sustainable, and transformative growth.
Management and Operations:
Supervise the Managing Director to ensure efficient and effective day-to-day operations.
Lead initial recruitment and hiring process including, but not limited to, research, technical, creative, and partnership staff.
Evaluate the network partners’ needs to use the firm’s resources to their highest utility.
External Relations and Marketing:
Build consensus throughout the partnership network and gain commitment to support the vision and direction.
Serve as a spokesperson for The Hub to enhance the visibility of the organization and to position it as a leading resource.
Lead all institutional marketing of The Hub, helping to ensure effective overall positioning.
Expand the reach and influence by engaging with public, private, and philanthropic leaders.
Lead The Hub to engage a larger, broader and more diverse audience.
Responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and managing all annual and major-gift fundraising, new earned income initiatives and all donor-facing marketing and branding efforts.
Be lead fundraiser and evangelist for the program, ensuring its continued success and scalability.
Systematically identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward new individual donors and foundations capable of making significant contributions to The Hub.
Maintain existing donor relationships and deepen alliances through regular, relevant, and modern communications and stewardship.
Work with Board leadership to create the vision and implement strategies & campaigns to achieve that vision; help establish and communicate the long term direction of the Hub and achieve goals, objectives and tasks are aligned and adjusted in anticipation and in response to outside forces and internal changes that impact achievement of the Hub’s vision and strategies.
Work in concert with the Board to identify, solicit, and raise necessary funds for continued success, and scalability of this groundbreaking program.
At least 5-7 years of successful executive and/or management experience.
At least 5 years of experience as a senior business development or fundraising professional with a clear track record of soliciting five and six figure gifts.
Proven experience in raising capital in private, public, or non-profit sectors, with an eye on monetization throughout the creative and service process.
Entrepreneurial spirit, ability to think creatively and outside-the-box to create a network, launch a network, and build a network.
Nimble, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing situations, re-align priorities, and handle the inevitable challenges and adversity that accompanies starting a new venture.
Driven and able to influence real policy on a broad scale.
Experience in recruiting, inspiring and leading a professional staff.
Marketing and public relations successes in positioning and branding an organization as an industry leader.
Significant experience working with pro-Israel and Jewish groups, including a keen understanding of how each group functions.
A dynamic, collaborative, and mentoring leader who inspires trust and respect.
Ability to maintain and model high personal, ethical, and professional standards.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Demonstrated discretion, transparency and integrity are key personal traits.
Experience working in a start-up helpful.
BA required; Master’s Degree strongly preferred.
