VisArts is a non-profit organization that has been transforming individuals and communities through the visual arts since our founding in 1987. Artists are the heart and soul of the organization. We serve more than 225 artists each year by supporting their creative and professional growth and development. We provide opportunities for working artists to exhibit their work, serve as instructors in our education program, and provide stipends for workshop presentations and other artist-led initiatives. VisArts' art classes open doors to creative exploration and community engagement. Each year more than 8,000 adults enroll in our art classes and 2,000 children and teens attend our year-round camps and afterschool classes. We provide outreach programs for seniors, homeless individuals, low-income families and people with disabilities.
