The United States Tennis Association Mid-Atlantic Section (USTA MAS) is part of the National governing body of tennis in America and a 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to promoting tennis by offering quality recreational and competitive programs for people of all ages and abilities.
The Development Coordinator works as a member of the Advancement team with primary responsibility to coordinate the day-to-day tasks needed to cultivate, identify, acknowledge and steward contributed revenue donors in support of the annual fund and capital campaign for USTA Mid-Atlantic Section. This position works with the Associate Director of Development, and the Chief Operating Officer as well as members of the communications and marketing team on all tasks associated with donor prospect research, meeting and event coordination, gift tracking, stewardship of donors and communication strategy. The Coordinator is an active member of the Advancement team and works collaboratively with members of the Advancement, Communications, and Finance departments in service to our mission.
Essential Job Duties Include:
Assisting moves-management tracking for all major donors/prospects in Raiser’s Edge database and Microsoft excel spreadsheets;
Processing all pledge/gift entry and reconciliation for campaign donors through Raiser’s Edge database;
Assisting in written correspondence including solicitations, gift agreements, invoices, follow-ups and acknowledgement letters;
Service donor inquiries by phone, mail and email
Assist with donor events and meetings, including planning, invitations, coordination with vendors, travel arrangements etc.
Assist with donor cultivation and stewardship mailings and other related efforts
Conduct prospect research
Participates as an integral member of Advancement team to maintain/grow the Section’s fundraising including:
o Budget review and setting of annual plan and goals to align with the Development Plan;
o Building strong relationships with current and future donors;
o Managing and utilizing technology for efficient donor communications and tracking; and
o Working collaborative as part of a team and with volunteers and consultants.

Able to energize and engage potential supporters.
Additional Salary Information: Paid hourly, commensurate with experience. Regularly scheduled 35 hours per week.
